The longest dance marathon by a couple was performed by Francisco Petatán-Garcia and Joana Salinas-Aviles (both from Mexico), who continuously danced for 35 hours in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico, on 15-16 November 2008. Francisco and Joana are both professional dancers and were supported by the Mexican Institute of Social Security.
